Joining the program is easy. Students need to show interest in becoming leaders, think about their goals, and choose opportunities matching their interests. Students review the application requirements carefully and complete them. This often includes writing an essay or something similar.
Opportunities in the Program
The program offers five opportunities students value the most. Let’s take a closer look at each one.
Performance Award
This award is for students who have regular attendance, active participation, and hard work. This opportunity teaches students persistence in pursuing goals and the importance of following rules.
Peer Mentorship
Mentorship is an opportunity helping students understand others and develop empathy. Students improve these skills, build meaningful connections, and set goals to address global challenges in the future.
Teacher Assistant
Students have the opportunity to assist teachers with various tasks, such as helping with lessons or other activities. Supporting teachers helps students develop collaborative skills and understand the importance of teamwork and helping others.
Club Participation
Students can join school clubs to grow in a balanced way and make new valuable friends. Available clubs include the Reading Club, Social Hub, and Coding Fundamentals Club.
The Reading Club is all about enjoying books. Books and discussions help future leaders improve their imagination, public speaking skills, and ability to build arguments.
The Social Hub brings people together. Kids organize various events, have fun, and develop organizational and public speaking skills.
The Coding Fundamentals Club teaches important tech skills. Students learn programming basics, explore development languages they are interested in, and practice solving even the toughest problems.
Best Student Award
This award is for students who achieve high grades and actively participate in school activities. This opportunity teaches students to give their best effort.

The Legacy Leadership and Impact Award celebrates students who lead purposefully and positively influence our school community. Open to those who have taken part in the Peer Mentorship or Teacher Assistant Program, this award recognizes individuals who go beyond expectations—guiding peers, contributing to school events or clubs, and showing initiative and responsibility in all they do. It highlights students who embody proactive leadership, make a lasting impact, and inspire others through meaningful actions and service.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must have participated in the Student Leadership Program (Peer Mentorship or Teacher Assistant Program).
- Demonstrates initiative in supporting and guiding peers.
- Contributes to school projects, events, or club activities in a meaningful way.
- Exhibits responsibility, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to leadership.
How to Get Nominated:
- Teachers, School Advisers, LSS, and school administrators nominate students based on their leadership impact.
- Students may submit a self-nomination form with examples of their leadership activities and the impact they had on their peers or school community.

How Are Students Nominated for the School Award?

Nomination & Selection Process
1. Tracking & Evaluation
- Throughout the academic year, teachers, club advisors, and LSS staff track student participation, performance, and engagement in their respective areas.
- Students who meet eligibility criteria are encouraged to maintain active involvement in school activities.
2. Nomination Submission
- May 15th: Deadline for all nominations.
- Teachers, club advisors, and school staff submit nominations based on academic records, leadership contributions, participation, and community involvement.
- Students who wish to self-nominate must submit an official nomination form, detailing their qualifications for a specific award and providing supporting documentation.

3. Review & Selection
- A school awards committee will review all nominations and evaluate candidates based on the award criteria.
- The selection process will ensure fairness and transparency, considering both academic performance and overall impact on the school community. The Award Committee, consisting of a mix of teachers, administrators, and student representatives, will evaluate candidates to ensure a balanced and unbiased decision.
- Final award recipients will be determined by June 1st.
4. Announcement & Award Ceremony
- Award winners will be announced and recognized during the graduation ceremony.
- Recipients will receive official certificates and will be featured in the school’s newsletter and website.
