Set the Stage for Your Child’s Future Success! Enroll Now

Starting school is one of the most important decisions a family makes. The school program sets the foundation – habits, curiosity, the relationship with learning itself. Getting it right at elementary level matters more than most parents expect.

Legacy Online School is a fully accredited online elementary school serving learners from Kindergarten through Grade 5. A real school, with qualified teachers, a structured curriculum, and a diploma pathway that runs through graduation.

Legacy is an internationally accredited program that coexists with local schooling. Families are responsible for ensuring compliance with any local education requirements applicable to their situation.

What the Online Elementary School Program Covers

Our elementary online school curriculum runs K–5 on a Florida Virtual School (FLVS) foundation – one of the most established online curriculum providers in the US. Delivered entirely online, with live classes and qualified teachers at every grade level.

Core subjects across elementary grades:

  • Language Arts – reading, writing, grammar, and communication from the earliest grades through Grade 5
  • Mathematics – number sense, operations, geometry, and early algebraic thinking
  • Science – life science, earth science, physical science with hands-on activities
  • Social Studies – community, geography, history, and civics
  • Spanish – language introduction from elementary level
  • Art and Technology – creative and digital skills integrated throughout
  • Physical Education – health and movement concepts

The curriculum is designed to build foundational skills progressively. What a learner masters in Grade 2 connects directly to what they’ll encounter in Grade 3. There is no gap between grade levels – it is one continuous academic pathway.

Three Learning Plans for Elementary Students

Not every child learns the same way. Our school has three plans which address genuinely different needs:

Live Group Learning – live online classes with qualified teachers, capped at a maximum of 15 learners per class. Real teacher interaction, school-day structure, peer engagement. For children who need routine and daily contact. The 1:15 teacher ratio means teachers actually know each student – not a classroom of 30 where attention gets divided. Many UAE campuses run significantly larger classes – at a 25:1 student-teacher ratio. That difference in teacher attention is visible at elementary level especially.

One-on-One Learning – fully customized curriculum and schedule built around the individual learner. For children with intensive learning needs, unusual schedules, or those who simply don’t thrive in a group setting. Every lesson, every pace decision – all designed with the personalized approach to learning in mind.

Self-Paced Learning – no fixed school year, no synchronized class schedule. Children work through the curriculum at their own pace. Qualified teachers grade assignments and give written feedback. The timeline belongs to the child. For families who need maximum flexibility – travel, relocation, non-standard routines – this is the plan.

Part-time enrollment is available for families who want to supplement an existing arrangement. Virtual clubs and extracurricular activities are included with every plan – not an add-on.

Personalized Learning at Elementary Level

Elementary is the grade range where individual learning differences become most visible. Some children read ahead of their age group. Others need more time on one concept before moving forward. A fixed classroom pace serves neither well.

Our self-paced and one-on-one plans allow students to accelerate through content they’ve mastered and slow down where they need more support. Teachers monitor progress and adjust – not just through grades, but through direct interaction. The learning experience at elementary level is designed to build confidence alongside academic skills.

Accreditation and School Program Standards

Legacy Online School is WASC-accredited – the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The same regional accreditation standard held by established US private schools. Our school is also a College Board Level I approved school (code: 000114).

WASC accreditation means the school program meets verified academic quality standards. It means credits are transferable to other accredited institutions. And it means the diploma pathway your child starts in elementary school ends in a credential recognized by colleges, employers, and military institutions.

This is not a homeschooling platform. Legacy is an accredited online private school. Your child is enrolled in a school – with teachers, transcripts, and an institutional framework – not in a self-directed homeschool program.

Legacy is an internationally accredited program that coexists with local schooling. Families are responsible for ensuring compliance with any local education requirements applicable to their situation.

From Elementary to High School: One Continuous Program

One of the advantages of an accredited online K-12 school is consistency. Families don’t need to switch programs when a child moves from elementary to middle school, or from middle school to high school. The academic progression is continuous. Teachers know the curriculum at each level. Transcripts are maintained from K–12 in one place.

Elementary learners who start with us are building toward 19 AP courses in high school, a WASC-accredited diploma, and dual enrollment through Arizona State University (ASU) and University of South Florida. The foundation starts in Kindergarten.

Enrollment and Tuition

No enrollment window. No residency requirement. No previous school documentation needed to start – transcripts help with grade placement but can follow after registration.

Self-Paced plans start at $670/semester for elementary. Live Group and One-on-One plans are available at different rates by grade level.

What Online Schooling Looks Like at Elementary Level

For younger pupils, the learning experience matters as much as the curriculum content. Online elementary school works best when it’s structured, interactive, and genuinely engaging – not passive video consumption.

At Legacy, elementary courses combine video lessons with reading activities, quizzes, and hands-on activities that can be completed at home. In Live Group Learning, teachers run live classes where children ask questions, participate in discussions, and interact with classmates in real time. In Self-Paced, lessons are structured so a child works through them independently – with clear instructions and teacher feedback on every assignment.

The digital learning environment at elementary level is designed with younger learners in mind. Lessons are shorter and more varied than high school coursework. Interactive elements keep children engaged. And because Live Group classes are capped at 15, teachers see each child’s participation – not just their grades.

For families new to online schooling, the enrollment process is straightforward. Accounts are ready within 48 hours. Families receive guidance on structuring the school day. Children start learning from home on day one.

FAQ

Q: What makes Legacy Online School’s virtual elementary school unique in the UAE?

A: Legacy is a full accredited private school – K through Grade 5, qualified teachers at every level, a curriculum that runs continuously through graduation. The 1:15 class ratio in Live Group. Legacy is an internationally accredited program that coexists with local schooling. Families are responsible for ensuring compliance with any local education requirements applicable to their situation.

Q: Is the online elementary curriculum at Legacy accredited?

A: Yes. WASC – the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, the same regional accreditor that evaluates established US private schools. It means the school program meets verified quality standards and the diploma pathway your child starts in Kindergarten leads to a credential recognized by colleges and employers worldwide. For EXPAT families specifically, WASC accreditation matters because it travels – children who move between countries, apply to US universities, or continue education internationally carry a credential that holds up outside any single system.

Q: How do qualified teachers support elementary school students in online learning?

A: Live Group teachers run real classes – not recorded sessions learners watch alone. Children ask questions, get answers, interact with classmates. Teachers track individual progress and reach out when something needs to be improved. In Self-Paced, feedback on every assignment comes from a qualified teacher, not an automated system. Elementary learners get more direct teacher contact than most families expect from an online program.

Q: Can students learn at their own pace with the school courses offered?

A: Yes, in the Self-Paced plan. No fixed school year, no synchronized schedule. A child can move faster through material they’ve already grasped and take more time on concepts that need work. That flexibility isn’t passive – teachers still grade everything and give written feedback. The difference is the timeline. It belongs to the child, not the academic calendar.

Q: What types of engaging courses are available in the virtual elementary school program?

A: Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, Art, Technology, and Physical Education – across grades K–5. All on the FLVS curriculum framework, delivered through a combination of video lessons, reading activities, quizzes, and hands-on activities completable at home. It’s a full elementary school program, not a selection of standalone courses.

Q: How does the online school environment support my child’s learning journey?

A: The Live Group environment is small enough that children aren’t anonymous. Teachers know who’s engaged and who’s drifting. Virtual clubs are included in every plan – not a premium feature – which gives younger learners connection to classmates outside of class time. For families worried about social development in an online setting, these structures matter. The screen is the medium. The relationships are real.

Q: What is the difference between online elementary and online middle school offerings?

A: Scope and independence, mainly. Elementary courses are designed for younger learners – shorter lessons, more interactive formats, more visual and audio variety. Parents play a more active role in the daily routine at elementary level. Middle school gradually shifts toward more independent work, more complex writing tasks, and the subject foundations that matter for high school. Same accreditation, same institution – different academic demands.

Q: How do online courses help students achieve academic success?

A: Regular assessments built into the coursework catch gaps before they compound. Teachers who know their learners flag issues early. The Self-Paced structure lets children master a concept before moving on – rather than being carried forward by a class that’s moved on without them. Those three things together – assessment, teacher contact, individual pacing – are what actually produce academic progress. The platform is the tool. The teaching is what does the work.

Q: What support is available for parents facilitating learning at home?

A: Curriculum guides, regular teacher communication, progress tracking tools, and onboarding support when your child first enrolls. Parents in Live Group tend to need less daily involvement than in Self-Paced – the class structure handles the schedule. In Self-Paced, a parent nearby to help manage the day makes a significant difference, especially for younger elementary learners. We’re clear about that upfront rather than overstating the program’s independence.
